Part G
Part G of the building regulations require a calculation of the potable water usage, that should be less than 125ltrs./person/day. Sometimes there will be a planning condition that specifies a figure below this.
This is a fairly straightforward calculation but getting the infomation required to do it can be more onerous.
The trick, as always is to get the information from the suppliers before you place the order!
What we need to know
The flow rate of the basin taps @ 3bar
The flow rate of the kitchen and utility room taps @ 3bar
The flow rate of the showers @ 3bar
The capacity to overflow of the baths.
The flow rates of the WC’s.
The water usage of the dishwasher in ltrs/place setting (if fitted)
The water usage of the washing m/c in ltrs/kg dry load (if fitted)
